I have done a bit of this and a bit of that in my time, but since returning to Sheffield in the 90’s I’ve worked in business support & economic development, on European projects and more recently for a great Uni. At the Innovation Centres, I enjoy meeting and working with talented people which is inspiring. When I'm not at work I like football, travelling and spending time with my wife.
Having studied Archaeology & History at the University of Sheffield I decided to stick around and after taking a detour through copywriting I found myself working at the Innovation Centres. The Innovation Centres are an enjoyable place to work as there is a lot going on and no two days ever seem the same. Outside of work I enjoy music, drinking proper beer, a bit of writing and generally relaxing.
After working for the national health service for 3 years I wanted a change but still within a big organisation. Before working for USI I had no idea what and how much they actually do but after being trained up by a great team I soon learnt a lot. I have lots of opportunities to get involved in big projects and I love to get stuck in. In my spare time I like to go out and socialise, watch documentaries and spend time with my dog!
