July Pitches: Tengi, Sensory Technologies, Preventx & Ossila

We had an enjoyable Beer, Pizza & Pitching session as usual on Thursday 9th and had some top quality pitches.

First up was Neil Laycock from Tengi to tell us all about his project. Tengi is a new messaging app which rewards you for using it. Each week users collect tickets and are entered into a cash prize draw. Tengi are currently testing the app locally at the University of Sheffield but are looking to officially launch soon.

Next was Patrick Blanshard who is CEO at Sensory Technologies a Canada based healthtech company. Patrick’s company help local health authorities to implement a new service model which frees up the time of nurses and doctors looking after the most vulnerable patients.

Ryan Kinsella from Preventx was up next to give us an overview of the company. Preventx continue to be hugely successful with the services they provide for STI testing in the UK. They are now planning to branch out into HIV testing as well.

Finally we heard from Lucy Pickford who gave an overview of Ossila and what they are currently up to. Ossila are an innovative electronics company providing components, equipment and materials to enable faster and smarter research and discovery.
