We had another successful Beer, Pizza and Pitching session on Thursday with some old faces, some new and some excellent pitching.
First up we had Max from Ossila who gave an update on all that has been going on with the company recently. The company continues to grow and have recently taken on another large office at the Kroto Innovation Centre. They continue to develop, manufacture and sell small scale equipment for lab use and for their own research. If they need something, they’ll source it or develop it and then add it to their catalogue.
Next up we had an update from Tim from Preventx who have also been busy. They have recently been awarded contracts for HIV testing. They already send out hundreds of kits each week as part of their chlamydia screening programme and can now add HIV testing to their range of tests. In order to perform the tests they have recently acquired two new analysers and have seen a huge increase in the number of kits being requested and coming back to their lab as they continue their excellent work.
Lastly we heard from Valdis about his product the Noodvamp which is designed to make eating noodle soup far easier. Simply attach the Noodvamp to your spoon and you can happily eat your noodles without losing any soup! Valdis is now working in collaboration with pot noodle who are keen to promote his product. Hopefully we’ll see a great partnership!
There were also the essential ingredients of plenty of beer and plenty of pizza and a jolly time was had by all.
